That's great Stella! Without having time to check my notes, I believe I remember this Joseph Williams being represented in court by my John Williams, who I believe to be the father of my Elias M Williams. Elias father was listed as John Williams (no middle inital that anyone knows of) and Elias at age 17 was listed as a married farmer on the census, with John Williams 1799 Ky. listed on another farm almost next door. Johns household had a gap, where a 17 year old could fit in, so I'm guessing this is the correct John Williams, who seems to turn up in the 1816 census, an owner of several lands, a farmer, lawyer, politican, and an evangelist. I'm also thinking Joseph could be a cousin or brother of John. Just wish I had time to investigate. Any thoughts greatly appriciated! chuck >From: [email protected] >Reply-To: [email protected] >To: [email protected] >Subject: Re: [ALBIBB] Williams in Bibb, Chilton Counties, at >Mulberry Church. >Date: Mon, 8 Jan 2007 20:33:40 -0600 > >Chuck, it is not in the community with Scottsville. It is at the Isabella >School...between Maplesville and Clanton...but due north...The Bibb >County line used to go that far..in sort of a dip from West Blocton down >that far...you know...we discussed before, of Cox chapel, and where the >Brown Boldings lived, close to Randolph, being Bibb at one time?
