    1. Re: [ALBIBB] Candace Y. Owens (Miller) (b. 1861 Scottsville)
    2. Points well taken Ed. Ed, listen, I don't have proof that Candace was from Bibb County. Scottsboro, which is in Jackson County, was once called Scottsville. I went back and looked where I got the Bibb County from, and it is only based on that I found a Candace Miller in the 1880 census in Scottsville, Bibb County, living with the Clarks. Since her daughter my grandmother said in a document that she was born "near Tuscaloosa" I assumed thatBibb County Scottsville was it. However, I should probably look at Jackson County too, as later after Candace "hopefully" married Mr. Drouet the Frenchman, they moved to Tennessee, Greenwood, family tradition says he was a brick mason, and we heard that they followed the construction of county courthouses sometimes. Jackson is way up there near the border of Tennessee, so at any rate, I probably need to research both places. Paula

    3. Yes, you may need to search both places, but it certainly sounds very feasible that you are on the right track with both Bibb county. I am Evelyn D Shimek. Good Luck. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, November 04, 2006 1:59 PM Subject: Re: [ALBIBB] Candace Y.
