Hi Caroline, Melissa sent us a list some time ago that I kept showing the LSD Batch #s etc. for several counties in Al that was filmed. Marriage records can be searched by these batches and if a person wants to wiew the original they only need go to their local LSD Library (they are all over) and request it be sent to them for viewing. Here is the email document she sent. Bibb is the second on her list. Joni Family Search Batch Numbers Below are batch numbers I have made note of in my research searching familysearch.org (lds site). I hope they help you as much as they have me in finding "elusive" marriages because of misspellings, etc. To search by Batch# at familysearch.org, click on the "search" tab when the main page loads. Then click on "International Genealogical Index" (4th item down on left side of page). At this page you can enter as little or as much information as you have as long as you enter one of the batch numbers below and set the "region" to North America. The items to the left below are the batch numbers separated by county with the years covered to the right. You will notice that some counties have overlapping records . . . and it is worth it to check EVERY occurrence of the year. Good Luck! It is *possible* that the records were microfilmed by the LDS team a few years ago and can be obtained thru your local LDS Family History Center or other repository that is approved for LDS microfilm in Dallas. Is there anyone on this list who lives in Bibb Co. and could do the look-up at the probate office? I do this often in Autauga Co. Also, you can try calling or writing the probate office in Centreville, although many clerks no longer have the time to pull individual records. Other suggestions?
