TUSCALOOSA- BEAR CREEK/ BEAR CREEK ROAD areas! Our Mother told Stories of "Granny-[*NAOMIE (HINTON)* -] Going down and 'Playing on the Family- Farm' in that area". Some sources think that gg-grandpa may be of -*THESE HINTON'S*- ??? What we do Know: (1)- *REV.JOHN HINTON**-(b. NC-circa- 1790-1843)- Married- *1823* in "TUSCALOOSA COUNTY"- *EASTER (MONTGOMERY) -HINTON*- (b. GA. circa 1797-1870)! (2)- He had several early- *Land- Patents*- [circa late 1820's thru 1840's] the areas between (what was- T22 & T24- R-5-9) - Before *JOHN S-(jr)*- Moved the Family to the NORTHPORT/ BROWNSVILLE areas] - in the areas-between T22 & T24- R-6-9! (3)- He was Long-time friends and neighbors with the -*HARDY CLEMENTS FAMILY*. (4)- He was an Early Member of the- *OLD SARDIS* & *GILGAL BAPTIST CHURCHS*!
