    3. One thing that I do, in addition to writing down all serial numbers, is to take a business or personal card that has my name, address, and phone number on it, and place it INSIDE the cabinet or case (if possible) of a valued item in an inconspicuous place. Depending on the item, you can either tape it in, fold it, or roll it. Then, if found and you have to identify it, there is your card on the inside. Examples: A bicycle or motorbike, etc.: Take off one handle grip, roll up the card and place in the handlebar, put the grip back on! If you have access to the inside of the cabinet of your computer, printer, scanner, TV, media players, etc., tape it in a corner, or in the upper part of the cabinet. on the bottom of an access tray, any place where it does not hinder the mechanism. In a jewelry case, silverware case, etc. so something similar, slip it BEHIND the lining. Just use your imagination on various items, but this has worked for me. One more important thing: Use a videocamera or digital camera and take a picture of EVERYTHING - inside and outside your home. Take the memory chip and put it in your safety deposit box along with backup CD and or floppies of your computer data. I know this takes time, but it's a very valuable piece of visual evidence of ownership. Be aware that these should be kept up to date from time to time. Good luck and good safety! Grady
