My mother's grandfather was William Landers who I believe was the son of Jane Belvin, daughter to Elkanah and Susan. Jane married a William Landers (Senior?) in the late 1840's and he must have died, because Jane Landers marries Noah Hicks in 1851. I believe that Noah Hicks raised William, who was born in 1849. My mother's father and one of his brother's have middle names of Hicks and Belvin. I have traced and found some info. on Elkanah and Susan on the internet, but have not gotten further back then them. I would be interested in any additional information.
