    1. Re: [ALBIBB] Bibb County Tax list Books
    2. They left Bibb County just prior to 1840 and moved to MS. One son, was born in 1819 here in AL (Bibb Co). Two of the children of William POUND/S married there in Bibb County in 1836. Three older children were born in GA. He had a daughter born in 1826 in Bibb Co, and according to the census, two sons we cannot account for or have no information on born in between the son born in 1819 and the dau born in 1826. In 1820 there is a land deed in Jones Co, GA where land was sold belonging to his deceased father (Wm was co-Adm) it states that William POUNDS now resides in "Cahawba County, Alabama". His father was Richard Eli POUNDS. William POUNDS was b in 1785. I hope that helps you somewhat. We are just at a brick wall trying to locate information on any land he may have had that he sold before moving to MS. It is our belief that he was here before AL became a state. One of his sons (my g-g-g-grandfather) William Avery POUNDS was b in GA in Dec of 1815, the next child/son was b here in AL. Thanks for all your help and responses. J Parker

    3. That would place both the Bibb County Edwards family and the Bibb County Pounds family in Jones County Georgia round the same time. Plus Jones County Georgia borders Bibb County, GA. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, February 19, 2007 5:38 PM Subject: Re: [ALBIBB] Bibb County Tax list Books > They left Bibb County just prior to 1840 and > moved to MS. > > One son, was born in 1819 here in AL (Bibb Co).
