They can do searches and may find the proof in some of the original title? books that are stored in the vault. Using information in one of these books I was able to prove that my gt x 4 grandfather was in Autauga County in 1817, before Alabama became a state. Information about searches, etc., is on the web site. By the way, once you have proof you can submit your paperwork to the Alabama Genealogy Society for inclusion in First Families of Alabama.
