I've checked my files on Jacob Kersh, and do not believe your Martha was his wife. The parents of Jacob's wife, Martha A. Brown, were Lucinda Cleveland and Willis Brown. They had two other children, James N C Brown and David L Brown. After Willis' death about 1840, Lucinda in 1842 married Jacob Kersh's oldest brother, Martin Kersh.
