Hi Jerry, After your complaint, I decided to check out the site. I had no trouble registering on the site. I entered my real name for my user name and a password; it worked the first time. The site sent me an activation email and I then logged in. I have not yet explored the site. I was not asked for any payment. Maybe you should give it another try. Warmest regards, Beth G. Due to the size of the message, I cannot send it to the mailing list at one time - will have to send the information in 2 emails. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------- This was furnished to me by a Fancher researcher concerning the Cahaba Valley Baptist Church, the oldest Baptist Church in Central Alabama. These minutes were located in the New England Historical Genealogical Society. I am from the Richard Fancher line. It was not a great copy of the document so there are words missing. According to documents I have seen at the Family History Center, Carleton is spelled with an "e" - occasionally it is spelled without the "e"; however, Isaac Carleton who donated the land spelled his name with an "e". There is only 1 slave identified in the document. I have seen recent articles that state there were 4 but I have not seen any definite proof of this. Let me know if anyone has questions or has additional information. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------ We the people of Christ Being Met together on Saturday before the first Lords Day in June 1817. Thank you, Caroline. I know that I will always miss her and Dad, but I am so relieved that she is no longer crying and suffering. She cried a river. I truly believe that my Mother is with God, my father and her loved ones. I really do. I am so happy that she is at peace. It feels really strange not to be sad. ----- Original Message ----- From: "caroline" <carolineh@knology.net> To: <albibb@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, January 19, 2009 4:16 PM Subject: [ALBIBB] Mary Ella Moore Henderson 1921 - 2009 >I can't add anything to what Stella has written. I can't add anything to what Stella has written. I still "tell" my mother what I've learned about Bibb Co, about the trips I've taken, what is going on in my life. And my dad, also, although he died when I was just 14. Mother and I, both only children, had each other until 10 years ago. Thinking of you.
