    3. I offer this info. as a place to look for information. There were Haithcock/Heathcocks in Randolph co., NC. Several early (pre 1850) Bibb Co. families emigrated from Randolph Co., NC to Bibb Co. - Hicks, Lawrence, Lawley, Cox, Needham, Garner/Gardner, etc. Any time one researches a name such as Hathcoat/Haithcock you need to allow for variation of spelling. In the book "Cemeteries of Bibb County Alabama 1817 -1974" by Howard McCord the directions are "One mile off Highway #25, at Six Mile. Go down Six Mile Creek on No. side." We drove to Six Mile today and never could find where the cemetery was. It will be next year before I can go back and I really wanted pictures of the graves of my Trucks and Woods relatives. We must have drove up and down Highway 25 6 times. Where in the world is that cemetery? Laurel Baty Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. When: June 27, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Where: Rocky Mount Cemetery in Jemison Alabama on County Road 51 I'm enlisting the membership power of this group to help me get out the word about the headstone cleaning and repair workshop we're hosting on June 27th. I know we're all members of different email lists or historical societies or church groups throughout the state. Think of who maintains the cemetery at your church or church members who might be interested in sprucing up your church cemetery. Groups such as the DAR, SCV, UDC, SAR etc of which you are a member. Any Boy Scout or Girl Scout troop leaders who might be interested in doing a cemetery project. In short, any group or person at all that you think might be interested. These type of workshops usually carry high dollar entrance fees and this one is open and free to all All information, including a map, can be found on this page at our website: http://www.chiltonc emeteries. org/modules. php?name= News&file=article&sid=68

Author: Hushing Surnames: McKinney, Lemley Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.alabama.counties.bibb/1075.1085/mb.ashx Message Board Post: First let me thank the Lemley researchers who posted J. P.'s full name. Without it I would not have been able to unravel this part of the fabric of my family. James Pinkney Lemley, also known as "Pink," married Sarah Ellen McKinney on March 4, 1875, in Shelby County, AL. Her name in the entry is listed as "McKinnie." Sarah Ellen McKinney was the daughter of John P. and Mary Ann "Polly" Green McKinney. JPK born about 1811 in SC, MAGM born about 1822 in NC/SC. Probably NC. Ellen was born in AL about 1855 and died(? divorced?) between 1880 and 1885, probably in MS. Here's where you will find her: 1850: JP McKinnie in Shelby County, AL 1860: Ellen is 5 and lives with parents in Bibb County, AL 1870: Ellen is 15 and lives with parents in Bibb County, AL 1875: Sarah E. McKinnie marries J. P. Lemley in Shelby County, AL 1880: Ellen is 25 and lives with husband I Pink Lemly, daughter Jennie and son Henry in Leflore County, MS. Dad lives around the corner listed as "K. P McKinney," 71, a mechanic. There may be several other family members there, too, but more research is needed. 1900: Pinky Lemley is in Carroll County, MS, with wife Mary and son 15, daughter 4. Ellen was in the household in 1880, is not in 1900, and Pink's son is 15. Hence the death/divorce dates of 1880 - 1885 for Ellen. Thanks again to Lemley researchers who posted their info for me to find and use. Happy hunting! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Thanks, Liz. The Ala. cert images can't be printed but the information that is shown can be saved and printed from Word. A shame the cemetery name isn't given on the printout but the film can be ordered. The LDS center in B'ham has all the reels, permanently, up to about 1960. As I have written many times on this list they can be ordered from http://alabamadeath.tripod.com/. Maybe B'ham will be able to get the new ones as well. Georgia certs can be printed - I can't remember the years or the web site, if it is familysearch.org.
