    1. [ALBERTSON] P.C. Albertson or Naomi Albertson
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: aaronwaynebrown Surnames: Albertson Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.albertson/478/mb.ashx Message Board Post: This is long. Please bear with me. I'm searching for information on my g-g-grandfather, P.C. Albertson. His daughter, Naomi, was my g-grandmother. According to my grandfather, who passed away quite some time ago, Naomi hardly ever talked about her family so I have very little information. Here is what I know: Naomi was born Nov. 6 1886 in either Texas, Washington state or Washington D.C. I have found different records that say each of these three, though I believe the most likely to be Washington State, around Lewis or King Counties or possibly Texas. It is unlikely she was born in DC, I think that was a scrivener's error. She had a younger brother named Theo and she might have had another brother named either Simon, Samuel or Solomon or something similar. I found a birth record for an unidentified male child born to P.C. and Mary Jane Albertson in 1891 in Lewis County, Washington and believe this to be Theo. I have not found a birth record for Naomi or Simon/Solomon/Samuel. Confusing the issue, I found a 1895 census record listing P.C., Mary and Theo and ...Laura? I am certain this is my gggrandparents, unfortunately Naomi is not listed in this record, and I have no idea where the name Laura came from. The Laura in this record is about the same age that Naomi would have been at the time. It's possible that Laura could be a sister who was never mentioned by Naomi or maybe a first or middle name for Naomi, though that was never mentioned either. Subsequent searches have proved completely fruitless. No birth records, no census records, nor death records, squat. In this record, PC is listed as being born in MO, Mary in TX, Laura in TX, and Theo in WA. I cant find P.C., Mary Jane, Naomi, Theo, Simon, Samuel, Solomon, or Laura in any other record until 1908 when Naomi married John Irvin Kirkpatrick in Jefferson County, Oklahoma. In the 1910 census, Naomi moved with her husband to VanZandt County, Texas and I can document her quite effectively until her death in 1966 in Ardmore, OK under the names/spellings of Naomi, Noami, Noma, Oma, Omi and Omie. Seriously, as if it hasn't been hard enough to track her down, her name is never spelled the same way twice. Also in 1910, Theo was working as a ranch/farm hand in Jefferson County, OK and I can pretty well document him until his death in Dallas, TX. I found an 1883 marriage record in Paris, Lamar County, Texas for P.C. Albertson and Mary Fulbright. The record itself was burned in the early 1900's. I have not been able to find any records on PC Albertson prior to his marriage to Mary in 1883. I have not been able to find any records on either P.C., Mary or Laura since 1895. I haven't found any records on Simon/Samuel/Solomon at all. I have a reason to suspect that my P.C. Albertson MAY be the son of Early and Margaret Albertson from Missouri. On the 1860 census their son is listed as "Perrin", on an 1865 census, he is listed as "V.C." and on the 1870 census he is listed as "Marion C." I haven't found any records on this guy after 1870 to either link him to my P.C. Albertson or to prove that it's not him. But the dates and location match. Plus, I've seen a picture of this Early Albertson and quite honestly, I see a big resemblance between him and my grandfather and my cousin. ANY information or direction would be appreciated. I feel like I have been beating my head against a brick wall trying to trace down Naomi's family. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
