Nathaniel Sutton left a bequest in his will to his "cousin" (nephew wasn't a term used then), John Gosby. There was a daughter Mary - Mary Sutton and her father, George, were indicted in Huntington, NY 1660. George Sutton and John & Mary Gosby sold their land in NY to James Mills in 1663, who later claimed land rights in NC for "...Geo Sutton and his wife, Nathanl Sutton, Joseph Sutton, Mary Gosby, Eliz Sutton..." Nothing claimed for John Gosby because he didn't live to make it to NC. The young widow Mary Sutton Gosby married Albert Albertson 20 Dec. 1668 in Perquimans County, NC.
