Albertson, age 68, of Millcreek Twp.PA, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012. He was born in Erie on August 27, 1943, son of the late Robert R. and Thelma Vollmer Albertson. Robert was an active member of Kingsley United Methodist Church and served as Administrative Council and Financial Secretary. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was stationed in Germany at the time of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Robert loved woodworking, fishing, NASCAR racing and was a past president of Prep Bank Boosters and a Times-News "Old Newsie". He was proud of his participation in Boy Scouts as a past Scout Master and served on multiple District positions. He was a charter member of Kearsarge Rotary, past president and current member of the Presque Isle Rotary Club, and active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Linda Davison Albertson; his son, Brian Albertson and his wife, LaMona Wagner Albertson of LeRoy, Ill., and their children Levi and Ame! ra Albertson; his mother-in-law, Trudy Davison of Erie; brothers, sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Brown and her husband, Gilbert Brown. No calling hours will be observed. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Monday at 11 a.m. at Kingsley United Methodist Church. The Rev. Harold Blair, Pastor, will officiate. Private interment. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., West, 536 West 10th St. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kingsley United Methodist Church, 913 Cranberry St., Erie, PA 16502.
