David Albertson (1764-1842) had a tavern licence in 1811 and was elected as a town official in 1813 in Trafalgar Twp., Halton Co., Ontario. He died in the same township. Many Upper Canadians did return to or move to the US after the War of 1812. If it was your David he would have had to be in NY in 1817 and then return again to Trafalgar Twp. This seems unlikely. I will try to find out if the Trafalgar David's wife was on his gravemarker. If it was Lila I will get back to you. I am not related to this family but have a historical interest in them and trying to work out their family history. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
