Hello, I want to obtain a copy of the marriage registration of my husband's grandparents William Ross Stitt and Mary Christine Grant from 1914 in Calgary, Alberta. They were from Ontario but their son's birth certificate says they were married in Calgary. I am confused on how to go about getting a copy of the marriage registration. The process seems to be different than when I obtained the birth certificate for my husband's father in Ontario. I read the instructions on how to do it from the Canadian Archives web site but do I understand it correctly that I just write a letter to Vital Statistics or a registry office? Is there a form to fill out? How much is the fee? What is a registry office? Any help anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated.
