Posted on: General Alberta<br>Canada Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/Canada/Alberta/General/11565 Surname: Pilkington, Cripps ------------------------- My ancestors, John and Mary Pilkington and their children, Joseph (nee Rimmer) and Mary (birth certificate says Myra) came to Cranbrook from Lancashire, England, about 1905 then settled in Alberta, but were in Vancouver by 1911. We can't find Joseph, born 1894 in Lancashire. He served in WWI, came home injured and then disappeared. The Canadian Military can't find a record for him under Pilkington or Rimmer. I'm hoping to find ships' lists to search for their names and their traveling companions the Cripps family.
