    1. [ALBERTA] Thanks for finding Patience
    2. Ledee, Alice D.
    3. Thank you to everyone for responding to my question about Patience, Alberta. We now know that my grandfather A. L. Dickens was the first postmaster of this unincorporated rural community. Apparently the post office eventually closed in 1952. Now we have run into another stumbling block. My father, Claude Bryan Dickens, was born in Alberta, Canada somewhere around Patience/Millet/Ponoka, in October 1912. My brother contacted "Alberta Government Services Registries" in Edmonton looking for some kind of birth record. He received a letter back stating "no record found". I'm sure this is not an unusual occurance for the time period. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where we look now? Alice D. Ledee Asst. Professional Affairs Coor.
