Hi listers - I am a newbie lister and was hoping someone could help me out. I am looking for any info on my g-g-grandfather's family and siblings etc: Robert NICHOL, b. 1830 - Ireland, m. Jan 4, 1851 in Megantic County Quebec, to Mary (Ann) WOODS b. approx 1833 in either Ireland or Maine, USA. Their children were: Robert Woods NICHOL b. 1852 James NICHOL b. 1853 William Thomas NICHOL b. 1855 m. ?(1) Eliza WORKMAN, m. ? (2) Martha WORKMAN Mary Ann NICHOL b. 1857 m. ? HEWITT (?) Andrew NICHOL b. 1858 David NICHOL b. 1865 m. 1891 to Ellen STILES (Lived at Knee Hill according to 1901 Census - had a bunch of children of which some died. Looking for those children and their burial sites. Their surviving children were: Robert John Nichol, Beatrice Nichol, Alberta Nichol, Frederick W. Nichol, Joseph Nichol and Stanley Nichol.) John (Jack) NICHOL b. 1861 or 1867(?) m. Apr 6. 1900, Innisfail, Alberta to Eva STILES (sister to Ellen Stiles) (Jack is my g-grandfather. He moved around a lot and I could not find him on the 1901 Census anywhere and yet I have their marriage record stating they were married in 1900 in Innisfail. They had 8 eight children: John Nelson, Dora, Mona, Clara, Roy, Violet, Harold and Earl. Any help would be appreciated) Elizabeth Jane NICHOL ("Jennie") b. 1868 m. 1896 to Fred HUMPHREY (Jennie married Fred and moved to Kamloops, BC for a time. Then in the early 1900's they moved back to Innisfail and built the "Innisfail Hotel." ANY information about that would be wonderful!) Fred NICHOL b.? Catherine (Kate) NICHOL b.? m. ? Fred SELSBY According to family lore we suspect all the siblings moved out west from first Quebec, then Ontario then to Alberta. I have a written note from a relative saying they had cousins in Claresholm too (this is way back in the early 1900's). All of the children and grandchildren after moving out to BC would go back to Black Diamond and area to work at harvest time. Also I would like to get a 1901 map and plot my family's land on the map. Can anyone give me any advice as to how about obtaining a map and plotting it accordingly? Thanx Listers! Keitha Nichol-Amdam
