Hi Listers, I am a new subscriber to the list and am interested in any information about George A EVANS b. Bangor, Caernarvon, WALES c1877 who, I think, emigrated to Canada sometime in the early 1900s. His parents were Thomas EVANS b. Neston, Cheshire, ENGLAND c1851 and Jane (MCCUE?) b. Bangor, Caernarvon, WALES c1854. George A had a son also George and a daughter Elsie m. Joe BARRACLOUGH. I have photographs of George A and son George, daughter Elsie and Joe taken sometime in the 1940s in New Westminster, BC; Kimberley, BC; Calgary and Vancouver. George A siblings were: (From 1891 census) Elizabeth aged 9 (b. 26th October 1881) Talybont, Llanrwst, Denbigh, WALES William aged 4 b. Llanrwst Annie aged 2 b. Llanrwst Fanny aged 9months b. Llanrwst. There is also an Annie listed on the 1881 census aged 1 b. Bangor. I don't know if an error was made on the 1891 census which should have recorded her as aged 12 or if there were two different children as the birth places are different. Elizabeth married Robert Lloyd HUGHES and in 1915 they were living in CAERAU, GLAMORGAN. Hope this rings some bells with someone out there. Regards, Sandy
