    1. [ALBERTA] Locating farm by legal description

    3. Dear Listers: A visit is planned this Summer to Alberta to locate a homestead and a grandmother's gravesite. The only clues thus far are a Land Grant (homestead) and a Death Certificate. Unfortunately, the legal description given on each document are different. Land Grant: To Albert WAITE, NE1/4, Sec.19, Twp.56, Range 13, W5M. Death Certificate: Elizabeth Ann WAITE, buried on farm - SE1/4, Sec.16, Twp.54, Range 16, W5M. The Land Grant was made in 1920 and the death was in 1935. Does anyone have survey maps that would make identifying these properties easy? We have no idea where they would be. Alternatively, Is there anywhere on the Net that we could look at survey maps ourselves? Would really appreciate some help with this conundrum. thank you for reading June
