Some Provinces like British Columbia - release records once they are considered Public Record. Marriage in the 76 th year, Births now in the 120th year. Death in the 21st year after the event. http://search.bcarchives.gov.bc.ca/sn-4C5E7CD/gbsearch/Births,Marriages,Deaths Here in BC we are free to view the filmed registrations, transcribe at no cost - copy for the price of a copy machine. at our Librayr .40cents per page. Saskatchewan has just recently placed some of their vital records online -still a work in progress. Manitoba has Births,Marriage, death online. Any vital records in the Province Of Alberta - after 1905 - are held with the Govt of Alberta Vital Statistics Registry offices. The cost of each registraiton is $40 the will search a few years either side of a given date. Cheers, Stella Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
