    3. Hello to start here is link to a page from a history book for here in Alberta that has a bio on Arthur Shortell http://www.ourfutureourpast.ca/loc_hist/page.aspx?id=875927 and here are some burial references to them on this page (just search for Shortell) http://142.179.210.110/community/cemetery/Default.php and if you email the Lloydminster library they will likely send you the obits at no charge http://www.lloydminster.lib.sk.ca/ Best of luck Thelma Hi to all in Alberta I have just been advised from a wonderful lister in Los Angles that the Shortell family from Sussex, England are or were living in Alberta according to the 1911 Census. My question is, how do I take this further as I would like to find any one who is related. The Shortell family are.. Arthur Ernest Shortell born 1864 London, He married Bertha NEWNHAM 1885 Hastings, Sussex, England Their children.. Emily Augusta born 1886 Hastings, Sussex, England Herbert Charles N born 1887 ditto Iva Edith born 1889 ditto Nora Bertha born 1900 ditto My interest is thru Bertha Newnhm as I have been trying to reseach my Newnham family from Wivelsfield, Sussex for the past 18 or so years and this line I had no clues what so ever. If any one has ideas, clues or whatever on what to do next I would be most pleased. With many thanks Elaine in Melbourne, Australia

    3. Thelma I must write and thank you for your generous help and I have spent most of Saturday and Sunday morning Googling to my hearts content re the Shortell and that Bio was wonderful where on earth did you find that I am so amazed at what listers hold in their collections. I have sent emails to the Lloydminster Library and a host of other places to which I doubt anyone will answer but I have to try and I gave the Family Search a try imputting Shortell Canada and up popped a few names. I do thank you and I hope you have great success with your own family hunting.
