    3. Hello to all Shaw subscribers, Shaw is blocking Rootsweb mailing lists again and you are all bouncing off the list. I just finished subscribing everybody who bounced off yesterday. If this happens again, please subscribe again and contact Shaw. I am not sure there is much I can do but I'll try. Rootsweb is trying to get this issue resolved. They feel it would be useful if the Shaw members contact Shaw as well. Ines

    3. Ines; Are you sure its Shaw that is blocking? Do you have a Shaw address where I could inquire or complain? Isn't that bounce message from alberta-bounces@rootsweb.com ? Yesterday I sent a test posting with the Subject: Surnames Jones & Smith to Alberta@rootsweb.com yesterday. Today I got a confirmation copy of my posting just like we used to get before all this started.. So I sure don't know what the message from alberta-bounce is all about. Since mid Aug. there has been some sort of Swedish or Norwegian 'doorx ??? virus' blocked by Shaw. They have been warning us about it often over the past two weeks or so. So the Stomach Churns .........., Martha Ines Mannhardt wrote: >Hello to all Shaw subscribers, >Shaw is blocking Rootsweb mailing lists again and you are all >bouncing off the list. 3. Shaw seems to be one of those ISPs who have delegated their 'blocking' responsibilities to a 'monitoring' company in the USA. It seems to be just about impossible to actually contact either one of them - Shaw or their monitoring company. Perhaps if enough Shaw subscribers/customers complain about the situation they might be persuaded to do something about the situation. From my experience, the monitoring company has completely blocked "Ozemail" many times over the last year or so.
