    1. [ALBERTA] REMEMBRANCE DAY -- At Sunnybrook Veteran's Wings -- Toronto, Ontario
    2. Muriel M. Davidson
    3. To all:- I have attended many Remembrance Day services, but the one at Sunnybrook Veteran's Wings this morning will be remembered for a long time. Veterans from both Kilgour and George Hees Buildings gathered in the Warrior's Hall and Annex, standing room only for many -- in the annex we watched the program on closed-circuit TV screens. Music by The Royal Canadian Legion Concert Band was used as a prelude and during the service. Boy Scouts and Girl Guides assisted other volunteers with wheelchairs. Rabbi Ron Weiss dedicated the memorial wreaths, after presentation of colours by Air Cadets of the 400 Tactical Helicopter Squadron. Many wreaths were presented, one on behalf of 105-year-old WWI vet and after the service these were taken by Air Cadets to the cenotaph. Chaplains David Howes, Tony Pablo and Gary Payne did the invocation, remembrance prayer and benediction. The address was by Lt. Arthur G. Plumb, resident of Sunnybrook, president of SWCHSC Veterans' and Community Residents' Council -- his speech made a deep impression on my grandson and granddaughter. Following the two minutes of silence, and during Reveille, a Spitfire circled Sunnybrook -- in remembrance. ------- This was my first service at Sunnybrook, as my husband only entered "the Sunnybrook family" March 26, 2001.
