Sure do. Have an interesting web site which tracks those who left New England from 1790 or so. Main reason was the availability of free land. Often we have thought those emigrating were feeling America for political reasons. In fact, they were attracted to the good quality farmland and free grants. Years later, war of 1812-1815, it was initially hard to get those immigrants involved in the defense or interested in the war.
