Hello Leigh-Anne, I'm sorry, but your Staals and mine don't seem to be connected at all. My husband's great grandparents, Edward Staal and Grace Huntley, emigrated from Holland to USA in the 1860's. They had eight children - Lena, Margaret, George, Dena, Lupka, Mary, William and Lydia. Several of them moved to Alberta, Canada as young adults, and descendants remain here, as far as I know.
