Good Morning, I live in Coronation, Alberta and perhaps I can help you with your search. .I'm not sure what that reference might mean because Coronation didn't even exist until 1911, so of course there are no records or newspaper to search. Before the railroad reached the Coronation town site the nearest town and supply point was at Castor, 20 miles to the west. I'm the local libraran and I also work with a Compton lady who grew up in Castor..I will ask her. Also I will look through the Castor History book that we have at the library for all the surnames. Please don't get your hopes up though too high. Have you tried Alberta Statistics?
