Hi All The reason for me posting this is that I have on loan for awhile two books. If there is anyone on the list who has a rellie in that would have been in Alberta at these times, please contact me. One is called " Proof of Age Documents in Alberta" A surname index 1863-1969. Published in cooperation with the Provincial Archives. The book may list a date and year for a birth, Immigration, Naturalization, and notice of death. Not every name has this info but alot do...then it gives you the exact document number that you would need to order a copy of the document. Some of them also list a nationality beside the type of certificate. Very neat book, so if anyone is needing something looked up please let me know and I will send you info if its in the book. There are literally thousands of names in here. The second book is the "Index to Birth, Marriage, and Death Registrations PRIOR to 1900. This book lists the surname, the associated name (if there is one), the event/date, place of registry. This book is even twice the size of the other. First one is 208 pages and second is 447, so there are lots of names in here. I will only have this for a short while and meantime am going to look into purchasing my own. Please get back to me if you need a lookup. Take care everyone, Elaine in Alberta, Canada
