The problem is that people of many backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, etc., may subscribe to these lists. I think we need to be sensitive to that. I think that what was said was in poor taste--no matter who it might have been said about. Whether the heading was genealogically oriented or not, I think that anyone subscribing to these lists has a right to "take its temperature" by seeing what is being commented on in these posts. We all need something to smile about, but I'm not going to laugh at someone else's expense, even if that person is Osama Bin Laden. Sorry, but that's just how I feel. Frankly, I am tired of finding any references to the events of the last month on genealogy lists. If I wanted to see that, I would subscribe to an appropriate list. I think these lists should be used only for the reasons that we all subscribe to them--namely genealogy.
