To all:- Many have heard the following before -- but it needs to be repeated. http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/Petition.htm There are THREE (3) pages to each petition. Page 1 does not need to be returned to either Gordon Watts or myself. Page 2 is very important -- MUST BE RETURNED -- it has the "prayer" (a Parliamentary term) plus places to give name of the one submitting the petition, where signatures were collected and address of submitter -- may be different. Page 3 does NOT replace Page 2. It may be included IF there are sufficient signatures. Today I received petitions for both House of Commons and Senate, stapled together, eight signatures, and only on Page 3. I do not like having to add Page 2 -- I feel it illegal. The House of Commons page will be forwarded to Gordon Watts, I will ask Senator Milne about the Senate one. Looking for Pages 2 (and 3) in the future, please. Muriel M.
