My grandparents, Maurice George Karl and Philomena Anna Hartman were married in Alberta on July 8, 1919. Family tradition was that they were married in "St. Mary's in Edmonton." Checking with the Catholic diocese there, I was unable to locate a church named St. Mary's. My grandfather and his brother were running a sawmill at the time, so they may well have been in a town outside Edmonton. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might track down a copy of the marriage license and church record of the marriage between Maurice and Philomena? Does anyone know of a church named "St. Mary's" in a town nearby? Thank you. Dennis Hughes
