Would anybody on the list live in Calgary? I just came across an obituary for my father's cousin, Clarence Baldwin, dated September 17, 1981. The obit said that the funeral was held September 21, 1981 at Leyden's Chapel of Remembrance with interment in Rockview Garden of Peace. I am wondering if there is any way of checking with either the funeral home or the cemetery to find out the exact dates and is Clarence Baldwin's wife is also buried there. I have had very good luck with cemeteries providing information on people buried there. I'd give the cemetery a call and see what information they have. Hi Wilma, You know the date of Death - You know the name of the Cemetery - Rockview Garden of Peace. The Cemetery will be able to tell you - the section, plot,grave number. They should also be able to check to see if any other family members are buried in the same location - or other location at that Cemetery. The Cemetery should also The Funeral Home -may take the Personal Information required for the Death Registration. They would have the date and Place of Death etc. They may also take information for the Obituary. They also take other information not required for the Death Registration - or Obituary. Names of other family members - locations etc. They may be able to assist with that - or - act as a contact between you. Searching the Afhs site - http://www.afhs.ab.ca/data/cemeteries/search.php finds that Bess BALDWIN - is buried at Garden of Peace Cemetery. 1908 - 1988. Clarence Cecil - is buried at Garden of Peace Cemetery . 1909 - 1981. ALSO: buried in the same Cemetery - perhaps family connected.
