    3. Here is how to find the Western Land Grant site: Go to: http://www.archives.ca/ Under "Research" select "ArchiviaNet On-line Research Tool" Select: Research by Theme Then: Goverment of Canada and Politics Then: Western Land Grants (1870-1930) After you have typed in your name or coordinates, take the number of the coordinates and enter them here: http://www.maptown.com/coordinates.html This, however, gives you the reading in decimals, so go the the following site, which will put the numbers in minutes and seconds: http://www2.arrl.org/locate/grid.html Lastly, if you would like to find the nearest town to the land grant, go to this last site and scroll down the list to where it says "Query by point coordinates:" http://geonames.nrcan.gc.ca/english/cgndb.html Hope this helps.
