My gg grandfather was Dan MacGregor, a weaver who sailed from Perth Scotland with his wife and 1st child Archibald c 1831-32. Dan was shipwrecked in the Gulf of St Lawrence by wreckers and lost his looms and wool but went on to get a crown grant and homestead in Caledonia. His children were Archibald, Daniel, Anne, Flora, Margaret, Sarah and George. Sarah married Rowland Cross Whittet my Great Grandfather who had siblings Henry, William, Isabel, Jane Ann, Margaret H S, Jess Cross, Elizabeth, Charles and Lines There is a note that the Youngs were cousins.
