Hello Martha, I can't specifically answer your questions but do suggest that you visit: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/ and review its `features' and also it's comparison page where in Legacy folks compare their software to FTM, PAF, Genealogy and Family Tree Origins. [Comparison may be biased, I don't know.] Personally, I like Legacy [no commercial interest] except for one limitation: like many of the programs I've examined, it doesn't have the ability to handle unlimited sources which is why I've stuck with PAF -[I have 1,400 names only]. I can have up to 15 to 25 sources per individual since I try to write a family history and I report ALL my sources. I'll soon be trying Generations courtesy of a relative who bought it only to change platforms to XT and now he finds he cannot use it. This seems a good caution re any selection. You might also try entering `Genealogy Software Comparisons' into Goggle and check some of the results. For what it's worth.......
