I believe that it is located closer to Plamondon, AB than it is to Lac La Biche but both are within a half hour drive of one another. I saw it in 2003 and it was undergoing a restoration then. I am related to Duperron's on both sides of my family and I can't recall off hand if it was the home of Simeon and Marie Duperron or Stanislas and Rosalie Duperron, both sons of the Francis that you refered to so yes you are correct they are definately connected. I'm 90% certain that it was the home of Simeon but I check with my mother. I'm not sure who would be in charge of maintenance, it may be historical societies in either Lac La Biche or Plamondon or the resoration may have been undertaken by the province of Alberta. I'll see what I can find out for you but if I'm unsuccessful do not despair because I'm planning a trip there over Easter and should should be able to supply you with pictures history.
