Good point! If the government of Canada made this promise to ALL CANADIANS, then surely there would be ample evidence of this in any newspaper from that time. If they actually made a promise of this magnitude, why can't they find one shred of evidence to support this claim? What is the government of Canada hoping to achieve by continuing with this lie? I cannot fathom why a public document that is so obviously important to millions of people is being kept hidden from them.
