My family on my mother's side originate from the St. Austell area of Cornwall. My mother was Pamela Elizabeth Liddicoat, and she had 2 sisters:- Jocelyne Francis, and Patricia Mary. My grandfather was Frederick Stanley Liddicoat, and my Grandmother was Frances Smith. I am in the process of starting a family tree relating to this side of my bloodlines, and am beginning to make progress. I am aware that members of the Liddicoat tribe moved to South America in the 1880's, also some went to Australia (because they drank too much), and I believe that a branch also went to South Africa. At present I have a rough family tree which at present goes toward 1772, however I need to access more information to firm up on the lineage. I have a sister, and there are 7 other cousins from the other sisters of my mother. Frederick Stanley was envolved in the China clay industry, and we have had family in foundry, mining, and shipping. I hope this may be a starter for you and help you identify if we have a common ancester. Take care and have fun, Hope to hear from you soon. Will
