Hi. The Instructions to Enumerators are quite lengthy in several cases. I have transcribed several of those instructions into Acrobat PDF files in preparation for my submission to the Expert Panel on Access to Historic Census (The Myths of Census). I have transcribed them for 1871, 1891, 1901, 1906, 1911, 1916, 1921, 1926, 1931, 1936, and 1941. I will work today at putting together a page for the Post 1901 Census Project website (at the URL following my signature) on which links to the Adobe files will be available. Until that page is loaded, I will be willing, for speakers at the Town Hall meetings ONLY, on request to send these files attached to an email. I repeat -- speakers only. If I am inundated with requests from non-speakers I will not be able to get the web page done. Happy Hunting. Gordon A. The object would be to add some potent ammunition for those who are yet to present at the upcoming Town Hall meetings. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lois Sparling" <lsparling@shaw.ca> To: <CANADA-CENSUS-CAMPAIGN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, January 09, 2002 1:24 AM Subject: [CCC] Federal Court Action > Well I would like to do some more venting before I settle down to > drafting a restrained, proper Action focused on the law and not my > personal frustration and disappointment with the "Powers that Be". > > Our current Chief Statistician did try to prevent the release of the > 1901 census.
