    3. The 1940 National registration information is available on: http://www.collectionscanada.ca/genealogy/022-907.006-e.html You can order the record for a cost of $50.00. If the record has been destroyed or they can't find it they refund the money. If the person died between 1940 and 46 the registration was destroyed. I am trying to order my great grandfather's and sent the information to Vital stats in late June-still no registration information. They sent me a letter to say they received my letter as they were required to respond within 60 days. I received that at the end of August but haven't received anything more. They cashed my cheque in September. 3. Hi Janet, Would suggest that you call upon your federal MP for assistance. I have found them to be of invaluable assistance in the past, when federal government processes appear to break down. They will be able to get an answer where you probably will not. Provincial MPP's are great too, if you are dealing with a provincial government service issue (or lack thereof). Good Luck!
