    3. Erin I have the history book "Prairie Crucible". There is a small write-up as follows: Olaus (Ole) Nesvold by Ethel Millard Jorgenson Olaus homesteaded the N.E. 1/4 of 26-19-9-4. He was originally from Norway. He was a plasterer by trade and plastered some houses, and cisterns, for people that had to haul water. He left after World War 1, intending to marry and bring back his wife back to ALberta. Those plans of coming back fell through and so he never came back. His one daughter still corresponds. Olaus emigrated to the MEDICINE HAT (JENNER) area about 1911. He went back to Norway in 1914 and married Laverne. I know that OLAUS NESVOLD was listed in the PRAIRIE CRUCIBLE (family history book). I had borrowed the book via inter-library loan and made a copy of the information, but have since misplaced it. Does anyone have a copy or access to this book? Thanks for any help! 3. THANK YOU, Shirley! The part that is confusing is that the Norway records show that he married Leverine (Laverne) in 1914, in Sokndal, then the passenger records show that Olaus came back to Canada the same year. There is no record of his wife coming with him. The Western Land Grants for Canada show that he homesteaded another property in 1917-ish. Hummmm..... Thanks again, Erin ----- Original Message ----- From: Shirley Smith<mailto:smsmith1@telusplanet.net> To: alberta@rootsweb.com<mailto:alberta@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, October 16, 2006 5:26 PM Subject: Re: [ALBERTA] NESVOLD/PRAIRIE CRUCIBLE Erin I have the history book "Prairie Crucible".
