    3. Posted on: General Alberta<br>Canada Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/Canada/Alberta/General/11519 Surname: ------------------------- Todd, re: your search for Frank and Jessie Sellers Wright. Did they actually live right in Edmonton? Or was it the surrounding area? Reason I ask is: There are Edmonton Directories for the early 1900's. Don't recall which year they started. But contain Edmonton residents only. I can do a look up for you, as I plan to visit the library soon anyways. Directors show names, address, and usualy an occupation. Can you tell me what all years they lived in Edmonton? As there is a directory for each year. (kind of like a phone book, but before telephones). For all others on the list: If anyone else would like a look up in these directories, send me the name and year you would like searched. Keep in mind that if the library is closed for Easter weekend (I'm not sure on that) then it will be April 28th before I go there.) Kathy k_clausen@hotmail.com

Did they actually live in Edmonton? Or just somewhere in the surrounding area? I will be at the library and can do a look up in the Old Edmonton Directorys if you like. I don't recall what year the Directorys begin, but somewhere in early 1900's. This directory is for residents of Edmonton only. Shows name, address, and often the occupation. How many years did they live in Edmonton? For anyone else on the list that would like a look up done in the Edmonton Directory: Send me name and relevent years to search. Keep in mind, if library is closed for Easter weekend (I'm not sure on that) then I won't be doing the look ups until Apr 28th. Kathy k_clausen@hotmail.com

    2. Darlene Rogers
    3. Re: Edmonton Area I am trying to locate any information on the Beverly area. My family all came from that area (actually my father was named Beverly after that area). My grandfather was one of the first postal workers there (Harry Frederick Tooke). I am not able to go to Edmonton so I need somewhere on the web I could find information. I would also like to know if it is possible to find records of the United Church in the Highland of Edmonton. It was (and I believe is) located on 118th Avenue. Darlene Rogers

    3. Hi, group; I heard that this year is Raymond's centennial, as far as the land being donated by the Knight family, and was wondering if there is a special celebration scheduled? The township was formed in 1903, so it's possible that they are waiting for 2003, but didn't want to miss out if there is something going on this year. Thanks in advance for your help. This is really a great group to belong to!
