    3. Hello list, I'm hoping that this is not too far fetched a request. I'm wondering if sks from Red Deer would be able to get a copy of an obit from the Red Deer Advocate edition January 19, 1993 for a Walter Charles TAMS. He apparently died on January 17th at 78 years of age. He lived in Calgary and was buried in Innisfail. I'm happy to pay costs for photocopying, etc. TIA Joyce Johnson jaj@netidea.com BC, Canada

    1. [ALBERTA] Re: Wright
    2. Hi Todd, just came across your message and I'm not sure if I replied to one of your other "Wright" messages; I am searching for a Frank Wright - actually Charles Francis Wright who was born in Ontario around 1882 and disappeared from Manitoba around 1895; he apparently lived from the turn of the century until at least 1905 in Edmonton but any other information about him is unknown. Could this be your Frank Wright? Cheryl Stuart

    1. [ALBERTA] Ann Lundy sister to Amy/Patterson Marriage
    2. Hi - I have your background on the Lundy side of your family and am excited to know more about the Patterson clan as well. I have the Lundy family going back to 1500's - my direct family arrived in Canada around 1700's. Tell me what you want and I'll try to figure out how to cut and paste and send you what you need. I would also like to add the Patterson side as well. I just love geneology although its a compulsion once you start. I now live in St Albert Alberta just outside of Edmonton and belong to the Genelogy Society here so if you need something specific I could try to look it up for you. My direct email is cheryls48@hotmail.com Hope to hear from you soon Cheryl Stuart (nee Lundy)

    1. [ALBERTA] Re: Herriman Family
    2. Sure do. Have an interesting web site which tracks those who left New England from 1790 or so. Main reason was the availability of free land. Often we have thought those emigrating were feeling America for political reasons. In fact, they were attracted to the good quality farmland and free grants. Years later, war of 1812-1815, it was initially hard to get those immigrants involved in the defense or interested in the war. After their sons and fathers starting to get wounded and killed they got a little hot. If you want some background, email me at pebanko@icgusa.org and we will refer you to a web site. Greetings Paul

    1. [ALBERTA] Wilson Location
    2. You have posted to the Alberta Board and it almost certain that your family did not come from there - it is in the far west. Almost certainly your family was in Ontario ( called then by the name of Upper Canada and later , just before Confederation , Canada West). If William was in the Rebellion of 1837/38 and was in jail he would have been part of the Radical Reformers lead by William Mackenzie .
