    2. BLANCHARD
    3. Hi Listers: I was told that by the mid-19th century, the old Acadian name MAZEROLLE had become MYSHRALL. It is the first time I have heard of this. Can anyone else confirm this? Did this apply to only one family changing their surname? Cheers, Martha.

    1. [ALBERTA] Lookup-Lauinger Obituary
    2. KMitchell
    3. Hi all; I am hoping that maybe someone out there who are doing Alberta Obituaries from the Sherwood Park/Edmonton area, may have picked up a copy of "Ben Lauinger" Obituary. It would have run in the newspaper either the end of November or sometime at the beginning of December. Sorry I dont have a date or anything, I learned this by word of month from a friend in Saskatchewan. Ben was the son of Paul Lauinger and Magdalena Schmidt. Ben would have been born some time after 1923. He would have been born in Saskatchewan, probably around Unity, somewhere. His wife's first new was Lena, and I am unsure as to how many children they had. 7 siblings, one brother living in Wetaskwin AB. Religion: Catholic. Does the Edmonton Journal do searches, like the Calgary Herald...for a fee of course? Any help would be wonderful and very helpful. :-) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Kelly Mitchell Kelly M. The names are related to baptisms performed in the 1860's and 1870's. Also, there is a Peter Masse listed in the Williamsport Census records for 1870 and especially 1880 when his name is clearly spelled "Masse." This is just an FYI. Debbie PS: Peter Masse might be a relative of my great, great grandfather's.

    1. [ALBERTA] Help YOURSELF to Gain Release of Post-1901 Census Records!!
    2. Muriel Davidson
    3. To all searching for lost family members or enjoy genealogy:- We could all join together and assist in giving ourselves the best gift of all -- taking a part toward release of Post-1901 census records, starting with 1906 (prairies) and 1911 Canadian. Murray Calder, MP had Bill C-312 in the House of Commons, and since being declared NON-VOTABLE, he will have only ONE hour of debate and NO vote in House of Commons. It would be nice to have a huge stack of petitions for late in February. Senator Lorna Milne's Bill S-12 has passed Second Reading, has been released from the committee WITHOUT amendments, and is now heading toward Third Reading, Debate and Vote. WHEN passed in the Senate, it goes to House of Commons. Again, stacks of SENATE petitions would be great!!! Non-Residents may assist us -- many have roots or were formerly Canadians. Snow Birds enjoying the sunny climes -- with a permanent Canadian address -- may use the Canadian petitions -- just add a "sticky" note to let me know. Petitions -- both languages -- may be downloaded from http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/Petition.htm Please ask your Member of Parliament or Senator for support, or thank the ones who show support of census release. http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/Index6.htm http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/Senscore1.htm Merry Christmas to all -- have petitions ready for company to sign!! I though you made a mistake about the marriage of Félix Labarre and Catherine Lawrence. It`s the first marriage not the third. He have only two marriages at my knowledge. The second, he married to Margaret Forcier. Do you known where exactly Félix Labarre is born in MN and the date of his born. I do`nt have the place of the second marriage and date of it. Please, can you send to me all the name of their chidren and if possible their born. I appreciate your help about that. What is the name of your parents with the maiden name of your mother. Thanks in advance of your help. Carmen
