The only family mentioned is that of John McNeill, native of Scotland who came from N Car. He was the first person to die and be buried in Barbour Co.July 1822. He had a son J.C. McNeill who became a doctor and 7 daughters. His daughters married the following men: Harrell Hobby, Emanuel Cox, Lemuel Long, Judge S Williams, John Windham, Daniel Currie, and Dr. E.M.
