    3. Hello, all I have subscribed to the census images on ancestry.com I decided to do it because being in Atlanta I do not have access to Montgomery or Clayton like I did before I moved. Anyway, I am trying to locate some places in Barbour county to help me with the way they drew the Census Districts. I am trying to find Richards (Could be Richard's Crossing) I have found Richards crossing on a map dated 1885 between Baker Hill and HWY 431 if this is it please give me a better description of it's location. Cox Mill (I have found this on the 1885 map so of course it was drawn and hard to read. It is located somewhere North of Blue Springs. Star Hill. (I know it is west of Mount Andrew but world like a better description) Fort Browder White Oak Springs Village (guessing somewhere around White Oaks RD. Williamsons Reeders Mill ( It is located somewhere East or North East of Blue Springs.) Faulks (somewhere around Clio) Grants Belcher If anyone can help me find these places it would appreciated. also if any needs me to look up something I would be happy to. if you know the district or area the people you want me to look up lived in, it would help. I can see images from 1790, and some images from 1880 1900 1910 1920 and civil war pension index. Barbour county is not available in 1910. If anyone knows of a map online that would be helpful to me pleas tell me Thanks, Kevin Grubbs

    3. Hi Kevin, I really don't know that much, but gonna give it a shot anyway. Belcher: Should be about a mile past the crossroads on the right side In Baker Hill, Al. coming from Eufaula on Hwy. 131. Because that is where Belcher Bethel Church is located. Richards: From Hwy. 431 S. take 79 N., just as you turn on that road is the old Richards Family cemetery, that should be the area for Richards Crossroads. Ft. Browder: There is a Ft. Browder Road is Section:25 Range:28/29 Township:11N Thats all I know other than you could probably find somethings on Williamson, etc. in the book, which I no longer have, Backtracking in Barbour County Alabama. I think I read something about the settlement of Williamson in it. 3. Reeders Mill was northeast of Blue Springs. Starting from there, look to northeast on map someone sent URL for. You'll see Spivey's Lake or Lake Spivey. Continue northeast and you'll see a forked road with the two forks pointed west. Look carefully and you'll see Bear Creek just to east of the forks. Reeders Mill was powered by Bear Creek water. It was on maps in the 1950s and 1880 census listed pop. 500 or so. If you run across Reeders/Readers in census records, I'm interested. thanks.
