    3. Hi Homer, I am really confused now. I have been trying to prove that Marion Monk was married a second time to Sarah Ann (Sally) Payne. Family records indicate that she married a Marion Monk. I find Marion Monk and Sarah listed on the 1900 Geneva Co Al census. Marion's birth is listed there as Feb 18_5 (unreadable) and Sarah is born in 1856. The one child listed is Sarah's illigetamate dau that we already knew existed. It looks now as if there are two Marion Monks. This one that you list has a different birth date and also died before 1900. Thanks so much for this info. This gives me another clue in my search. I am sorry I can't answer your question as to Marion Monk's parents. I can tell you that Marion Monk and Martha Emma Stuckey married 23 Jan 1867 in Barbour Co AL. He has been an elusive one. Now it seems there are two of them!!! :>) Thanks again, Judy Barrett Homer JONES wrote: > > Judy, > > Yes that is Marion Monk, Apr 3, 1842- > Oct 3, 1898; served as Pvt, Co A, 37th > Ala Inf Rgt; the co enlisted at Auburn > in Mar 1862; he m.
