Kay this is Kay The M R Malachi Reaves Sims is my husbands gggrandfather and one of my brick walls. Malachi born in Ga. Married Frances Bottoms in Pike(Ibelieve) county Ga in 1842. They had 5 children and she died with in a couple of months of the last birth as well as the child. That was 1852. In 1854 he remarried an Elizabeth Deborah Carter and had more children. He and Elizabeth lived in Newton, Al and maybe in Elba for a while. They are buried in Newton. I kinda sorta believe that Elizabeth was related to his mother-- but I really know nothing about who his parents were. Elizabeth and M R had a child Malachi Reaves, Jr and he had a child Malachi Reaves III. They are all buried in Newton except Frances Bottoms Sims. Any little hint of a connection would be more than than I have found in a long time. I know nothing about your Caroline. Sorry Kay Russ Andress
