    1. Re: [ALBARBOU] Re: Confederate burials in Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta.
    2. Homer JONES
    3. Debbie, Rgt History refers to him as A. Jason Cook, b.1837 in Stewart County, Ga; enlisted Mar 15, 1862 at Clayton as Pvt, Co K, 29th Ala; his record seems to be pretty well scrambled in that one report shows him dischaged due to rheumatism and another shows that he d. at Fairground Hospital #2 at Atlanta Jun 24, 1864; the Sexton's List indicates he is buried in Block E, Row 3, Space #13 in Confederate Section at Oakland Cemetery; in view of that, the latter story would seem to be correct; listed at Natl Archves as A.J. Cook, so no help on him being Andrew Jackson Cook there either; if it will help, George Perry Cook and Thomas J. Cook, Jr of Barbour were also in Co K; Thomas was also born in Stewart County in 1837 and George lived at Star Hill following the war; from comparing the records of A.J. and Thomas, looks like their records may have gotten tangled together as I see 1837 and rheumatism in both w/ dates of being wounded somewhat too close. Hope I have not muddied the water; and I can be of further assistance, please advise. Deo Vindice, Homer
